Norwegians Don’t Die

Garrison Keillor says Norwegians don’t die
in winter. I suppose it offends the stiff upper lip:
Winters are to be survived in Minnesota.
Three cheers to Dad then who died in October
when the weather was temperate and the smell
of snow had yet to tinge the air with ash.
